YouTube Copyright Problems

YouTube Copyright Problems

In 2016 we witnessed lot of issues with some popular channels on YouTube regarding copyright strikes or channels being closed. There has been some activity on the smaller channels, but of course these don’t get out in the public so much since they don’t have the ability to reach out thousands of people via their twitter, facebook or youtube channels essentially. Some notable cases that have happened during 2016 so far

There has been also lot of problems essentially on Anime Reviewers side, videos being targeted based on just their tags/descriptions – there is multiple videos just people talking front of their webcam and not using any footage or images from the specific Anime. These are rather unfortunate circumstances for multiple channels and Youtube has been really bad at communicating with majority of partners usually just sending auto-emails.

YouTube has to really step their game when it comes to communication, either have better relationships with MCN’s and share information between each other or hire more staff to deal with customer supporty and on whole copyright problem. There is lot of people sending fake claims and abusing the system way too much right now and that has to stop or more measures have to be done about it. Not only that there is lot of content that is clearly upholding “Fair Use” and still are targeted with claims and they have to come big process to get rights to use the content.
